Fields of Mistria rewards players who spread their time across farming, town restoration, relationships, gathering, and skill progression instead of spending every day on a single activity. Your first week should focus on establishing a small profitable farm, completing requests, meeting villagers, collecting resources, and gradually opening more of Mistria.
Clear Only the Farm Space You Need
Day 1HighRemove enough weeds, rocks, and branches to create a manageable crop area near your farmhouse. Avoid clearing the entire farm immediately because chopping and mining consume valuable early stamina.
Plant a Small First Crop
Day 1HighUse your starting farming tools to prepare soil, plant seeds, and water crops. Keep the first field small enough that watering does not consume most of your daily stamina.
Meet Mistria's Villagers
Days 1-2HighVisit town and introduce yourself to villagers including Adeline, Balor, Celine, Eiland, Hayden, Juniper, March, Reina, Ryis, and Valen. Talking regularly begins relationship progression and helps you learn where important shops and services are located.
Check the Request Board Every Day
DailyHighTown requests provide money, Renown, items, and reasons to gather materials you will already encounter while exploring. Accept requests early so ordinary farming, fishing, mining, and foraging can complete several goals at once.
Build Renown Through Town Activities
Days 2-7HighComplete requests and contribute to Mistria's restoration to increase the town's Renown. Raising Renown advances town progression and rewards you as Mistria improves.
Explore Beyond the Farm
Days 2-4MediumSpend part of each day foraging, fishing, breaking rocks, cutting wood, and learning routes between your farm, town, the beach, and other accessible areas. Keep at least one example of unfamiliar items before selling everything.
Use Essence for Skill Perks
As AvailableHighNormal activities generate Essence that can be spent on skill perks through the dragon statue. Prioritize perks connected to the activities you perform most often, such as farming, mining, fishing, or gathering.
Manage Stamina Instead of Emptying It Early
DailyHighWater crops and complete essential chores first, then use remaining stamina for resource gathering. Food and other recovery options can extend productive days, but sleeping remains the basic way to restore yourself for the next morning.
Save Wood, Stone, Ore, and Forage
First WeekHighDo not sell every raw material for quick money. Wood, stone, ore, forage, and other common resources are repeatedly required for crafting, quests, upgrades, and town projects.
Create a Sustainable Daily Routine
By Day 7HighA reliable early routine is: water crops, check requests, talk to nearby villagers, complete one progression goal, gather resources, then sell surplus items before sleeping. This keeps farming, money, relationships, skills, and Renown progressing together.
Avoid Common Beginner Mistakes
First WeekHighDo not plant more crops than you can comfortably water, spend all money immediately, sell every crafting material, ignore town requests, or use all stamina clearing the farm. Fields of Mistria progresses faster when you diversify your activities.

Relationship Hearts
Romance SystemTalking, gifting, festivals, birthdays, and character events increase your relationship with villagers.
Heart events occur at important relationship milestones and provide the main character-specific romance story content.
Major Update Romance Progression
Content ProgressionMajor updates expand available relationship levels and add new heart events, dialogue, dates, and later-stage romance content.
Players who reach the available relationship cap can continue the same relationships when additional romance milestones are added.
Villagers react differently to gifts, with loved and liked items producing better relationship gains than neutral or disliked gifts. A practical strategy is to keep a small chest of character-appropriate items and give gifts while already visiting town for quests, shopping, festivals, or daily conversations.

Farming begins with tilling soil, planting seeds, watering crops, and selling or cooking harvested produce. Early farms should remain small enough to water comfortably, while later upgrades and farming perks make larger fields easier to manage. Crops that regrow after their first harvest are especially useful for reducing repeated seed purchases and planting work.
Turnip
SpringSingle harvestBest for: Fast early-season farming and simple cash flow
Useful when starting with limited money because it lets you cycle early harvests without committing your whole field to long-growing crops.
Potato
SpringSingle harvestBest for: General early-game farming and cooking
A practical spring crop to mix with faster and higher-value options.
Cabbage
SpringSingle harvestBest for: Higher-value spring harvests and cooking
Plant when you can afford to leave part of your money invested in crops for longer instead of relying entirely on rapid harvests.
Strawberry
SpringRegrowing cropBest for: Repeated spring harvests
Plant early enough in the season to benefit from multiple harvests rather than waiting until the final days.
Peas
SpringRegrowing cropBest for: Low-maintenance repeated produce
Useful for maintaining regular spring income without repeatedly replanting the same tile.
Tomato
SummerRegrowing cropBest for: Repeated summer harvesting and cooking
An efficient crop for players who want ongoing produce from the same planted area.
Corn
SummerRegrowing cropBest for: Repeated harvests and versatile cooking use
Plant early and combine it with single-harvest crops to keep both regular income and variety.
Chili Pepper
SummerRegrowing cropBest for: Repeated harvests and recipes
Works well in a permanent summer crop section because it does not require replanting after every harvest.
Watermelon
SummerSingle harvestBest for: Higher-value seasonal produce
Use alongside regrowing crops instead of filling the entire farm with long-term single-harvest plants.
Pumpkin
FallSingle harvestBest for: Valuable autumn produce and cooking
Reserve enough time before the season ends for the crop to mature, especially when planting additional batches.
Cranberry
FallRegrowing cropBest for: Repeated fall income
Plant early in fall to maximize the number of harvest cycles before the season changes.
Sweet Potato
FallSingle harvestBest for: Reliable fall farming and cooking
A useful middle-ground crop for mixed fields where you want both ingredients and saleable produce.
Beet
FallSingle harvestBest for: General autumn farming
Useful for filling spare crop space without relying exclusively on longer-term pumpkins or regrowing crops.
Daikon Radish
WinterSingle harvestBest for: Winter farming and seasonal cooking
Use winter crop space to maintain farming progress instead of abandoning the field during the cold season.
Mixed Crop Strategy
All SeasonsPlanning methodBest for: Balancing cash flow, recipes, requests, and stamina
Combine quick single-harvest crops with regrowing crops. This provides early money while creating a stable stream of later harvests.
Seed Purchasing
All SeasonsFarm managementBest for: Controlling early expenses
Do not spend every Tesserae on seeds. Keep money available for tools, town progression, recipes, animals, and other important purchases.
Watering and Stamina
All SeasonsDaily managementBest for: Preventing oversized fields
Increase field size gradually. If watering consumes most of your stamina every morning, reduce new planting until tool upgrades and farming perks make the workload easier.
Farming Skill Perks
All SeasonsLong-term upgradeBest for: Improving farming efficiency
Spend Essence on useful farming perks as your Farming skill grows. Perks can make crop production more rewarding and reduce the pressure of maintaining larger farms.
Fishing is a reliable source of Tesserae, food ingredients, museum progress, and Fishing skill experience. Fish availability changes according to factors such as season, weather, water type, and fish-shadow size, so planning catches around current conditions makes completing collections much easier.
Fields of Mistria Mines and Combat Guide
The Mines are one of the main progression systems in Fields of Mistria. Mining provides ore, stone, gems, artifacts, and other materials needed for equipment and crafting, while deeper floors introduce new environments and stronger enemies.
Prepare Before Entering
Start a mining day with as much stamina as possible. Bring a Pickaxe for breaking rocks, a Sword for enemies, and restorative food so you can stay underground longer.
- Pickaxe
- Sword
- Food
- Available armor or equipment
Clear the Upper Mines
The first mine region introduces the basic mining loop: break rocks, collect materials, search for the route downward, and defeat enemies blocking important areas. Copper and other early resources gathered here support the first major equipment upgrades.
- Copper Ore
- Stone
- Gems
- Artifacts
- Early combat materials
Reach Mine Checkpoints
Mine progress is divided into floor ranges and permanent progression points, so reaching the next checkpoint is usually more valuable than clearing every rock on a floor. On progression-focused days, conserve stamina and prioritize finding the way downward.
- Break only useful rocks when stamina is limited.
- Defeat enemies that block your route.
- Collect visible ore nodes before leaving a floor.
- Use food before your stamina becomes critically low.
Progress Into Tide Caverns
Deeper progression leads into the Tide Caverns, where the environment, resources, and enemy encounters differ from the opening mine floors. Better equipment becomes increasingly valuable as monster durability and resource requirements rise.
- Upgrade tools when better materials become available.
- Improve combat equipment before pushing several new floors at once.
- Keep inventory space available for ore and unique mine drops.
Explore Deep Earth
Deep Earth continues the mine progression with new resources and harder encounters. At this stage, efficient stamina use matters more because valuable mining nodes compete with combat and exploration for the same daily energy supply.
- Target upgrade materials first.
- Avoid wasting stamina on low-value rocks.
- Use stronger food for dedicated mining days.
- Return to town before passing out at the end of the night.
Push Into Lava Caves
Later mine progression reaches hotter and more dangerous environments such as the Lava Caves. Stronger tools, weapons, armor, food, and combat perks make these deeper expeditions considerably easier.
- Upgraded Pickaxe
- Upgraded Sword
- Improved armor
- High-value stamina food
Use Simple Combat Fundamentals
Attack enemies with your weapon while using movement and positioning to avoid contact damage and enemy attacks. Do not stand still trading hits when you can step away, let an attack miss, and counter safely.
- Separate enemies instead of fighting large groups at once.
- Keep enough stamina and health to finish the trip safely.
- Use weapon upgrades to shorten fights.
- Take advantage of unlocked magic and combat perks when available.
Turn Mine Materials Into Upgrades
Ore collected underground feeds directly into blacksmithing, tool progression, equipment crafting, quests, and broader town development. Upgrade the tools you use most often before spending large amounts of valuable metal on optional equipment.
- Frequently used tools
- Mining equipment
- Combat equipment
- Optional crafted items
Ranching provides renewable products and a long-term progression path alongside crop farming. Animals need regular care and benefit from attention, feeding, outdoor time, and relationship-building, while breeding can produce offspring with increasingly rare color variations.
Chickens
Coop AnimalProducts: Eggs
A practical early ranching animal that provides a regular supply of eggs for selling, cooking, and other farm uses.
- Provide food regularly.
- Pet the animal to build affection.
- Let animals outside when conditions allow.
- Collect products consistently.
Cows
Barn AnimalProducts: Milk
Cows provide milk and form one of the core large-animal production lines for a ranch-focused farm.
- Keep the barn supplied with food.
- Interact with cows regularly.
- Use milk in cooking or sell it for income.
- Develop affection as part of breeding progression.
Sheep
Barn AnimalProducts: Wool
Sheep provide wool, giving ranchers a renewable material distinct from milk and egg production.
- Feed and pet sheep regularly.
- Collect wool when available.
- Maintain barn space before expanding the flock.
Alpacas
Barn AnimalProducts: Alpaca Wool
Alpacas expand the farm's fiber-producing options and are useful for players building a diversified ranch rather than relying on a single product.
- Maintain regular feeding.
- Build affection through daily interaction.
- Collect their fiber products when ready.
Rabbits
Coop AnimalProducts: Rabbit Wool
Rabbits are small livestock that add another renewable fiber product to the ranching economy.
- Keep coop food available.
- Pet rabbits regularly.
- Collect their products as they become available.
Ducks
Coop AnimalProducts: Duck Eggs
Ducks diversify egg production and give established ranches another small-animal option.
- Provide daily food.
- Build affection through interaction.
- Collect eggs regularly.
Horses
Large AnimalProducts: Mounts and Companionship
Horses are part of the broader animal system and are valued primarily for their role as farm animals and mounts rather than as a standard daily product source.
- Feed and interact with horses.
- Build affection like other livestock.
- Use unlocked riding functionality for faster movement.
Animal Relationships
Care SystemProducts: Affection and Better Yields
Regular care raises an animal's affection. Petting, feeding, treats, and good daily management support relationship progression and make ranching more rewarding over time.
- Pet animals regularly.
- Keep feed stocked.
- Use treats when appropriate.
- Avoid leaving animals without care for long periods.
Breeding and Color Tiers
Breeding SystemProducts: Rare Color Variations
Breeding is one of Fields of Mistria's major long-term ranching goals. Offspring can unlock new color variations, with continued breeding allowing players to work toward rarer appearance tiers.
- Build a breeding pair within the same animal species.
- Maintain enough barn or coop capacity for offspring.
- Continue breeding through successive generations to pursue additional colors.
- Keep preferred color variants as part of your permanent ranch.
